Porang is in great demand in China and Japan because it is low in carbohydrates, so it is great for diabetics. Porang tubers have a glucomannan content of around 15\u201364% on a dry basis which is used in various food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, and for food products, such as konnyaku, shirataki (in the form of noodles). &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Andriani (2020), an analysis of the benefits of Porang plants in 1 (one) hectare with a spacing of 25 cm x 100 cm can reach Rp. 517,500,000. This nominal provides a huge opportunity for farmers to develop Porang plantations in Bengkulu Province. Of course, to obtain optimal results, proper efforts are needed so as not to cause enormous losses for the farmers who will start the cultivation of the Porang plant. These efforts include: 1] During the germination process, Porang plants need to be planted in polybags; 2] Porang plants need shade; and 3] Porang plants really need regular watering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From the problems mentioned above, to cultivate Porang plants, the Bengkulu University Science and Technology Service Team provides solutions: 1] Cultivate Porang plants in large polybags with a size of 40 cm x 40 cm; 2] Using Paranet gauze shading technology as a substitute for Mahogany and Teak trees; and 3] Use a rotary garden sprinkler sprayer to maintain the stability of the watering system so that it is evenly distributed. The 2023 Bengkulu University Science and Technology Service Team consists of Drs. Syarifuddin, M.S., Supiyati, S.Sc., M.Sc. and Halauddin, S.Si, M.T. as the Head of Service will provide counseling and piloting by raising a theme of Service to Science and Technology with the title &#8220;Science and Technology of Porang Plant Cultivation in Large Polybags Equipped with Paranet Gauze Shade Systems and Sprinkler Sprayers Sprinkler Sprayer Rotating Garden Model in Suka Maju Farmer Groups, Talang Pauh Village, Pondok Kelapa District, Central Bengkulu \u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Activities have been carried out in May &#8211; July 2023. The target audience in this case is the Suka Maju Farmer Group which plays an active role in Bengkulu University Science Service activities. The benefits and results that have been obtained by partners are that partners have succeeded in cultivating Porang plants using large polybags, partners can install Paranet gauze shade technology as a substitute for Mahogany and Teak trees and partners can install and use a rotating garden Sprinkler Sprayer watering device to maintain system stability watering so that it is evenly distributed and
