
Dr. Sipriyadi, S.Si., M.Si. Achieves Three Prestigious Awards
Another brilliant achievement was made by Dr. Sipriyadi, S.Si., M.Si., a researcher and lecturer at the Department of Biology FMIPA, Bengkulu University. At the end of 2024, he won three prestigious awards at once, namely as a BPOM Innovation Product Investor, 2nd place at the International Competition Scientific Research Paper event organized by the University of Bangka Belitung and 5th Scheme Champion at the Bengkulu University Student Research and Innovation Competition (PIM) as a Supervisor.
BPOM Innovation Product Investor Award
On November 7, 2024, Dr. Sipriyadi received an award from the Food and Drug Administration (BPOM) for his contribution in developing innovative products based on scientific research on sapat fruit extract. This innovation successfully answered the needs of the community while meeting the high safety and quality standards set by BPOM. This award reflects his dedication in presenting technology-based solutions to support public health and welfare.
Scheme 5 Champion of PIM UNIB 2024 Competition and International Competition Scientific Research Paper Champion organized by the University of Bangka Belitung as Mentor
In the PIM UNIB 2024 event, Dr. Sipriyadi guided a team of students who carried out excellent research projects under the Scheme 5 category. With innovative ideas and careful implementation, this team managed to captivate the attention of the jury and outperform other competitors. This victory not only made Universitas Bengkulu proud but also became a tangible proof of the excellent quality of education and research at the institution.
Dr. Sipriyadi successfully guided students to win second place with the title Molecular Approach to 16s Ribosomal DNA Gene and Mercury Reductase MerA Gene of Mercury Resistant Bacteria: Future Bioremediation Opportunities. The student team mentored by Dr. Sipriyadi were Raul Fadilon, Waris Rahman, Gita Panny N, and Rahma Adelia. The team also won 2nd place at the International Competition Scientific Research Paper event organized by the University of Bangka Belitung on December 5.
Another team also won 3rd place with the title Efficacy of Potential Antibacterial Compounds of Kecombrang Flower Extract (Etlingera Elatior) in the Development of Natural Addictive Substance in Gulai. The team was led by Anesti Masayu and members Suci Dickatyarah Rosandri, Larra Ayu Lidyaningrum, Chintia Octa Muzariana F, and Nisa M.T.
