Bachelor of Pharmacy Program at UNIB Gears Up for Accreditation Assessment
Bengkulu, March 2025 — The Bachelor of Pharmacy Program at the University of Bengkulu (UNIB) has been actively preparing for its upcoming accreditation assessment by the Independent Accreditation Agency for Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes). Scheduled for April 2025, the assessment is a critical step in evaluating the program’s quality and compliance with national higher education standards.
Throughout the month of March, the Pharmacy Study Program, under the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), has engaged in a series of intensive preparations, including document verification, self-evaluation finalization, internal reviews, and simulation meetings. These efforts are aimed at ensuring that all aspects of the program—from academic administration and curriculum to research, community service, and student support—are in alignment with the accreditation criteria.
The preparation process is being led collaboratively by the Pharmacy Study Program Coordinator, the internal quality assurance team, lecturers, education staff, and student representatives. The entire academic community has shown strong commitment to the process, reflecting a shared vision for continuous improvement and academic excellence.
“Accreditation is not only a requirement but also an opportunity for us to reflect, grow, and enhance our quality,” said one of the program coordinators. “We hope that this process will result in constructive feedback and an acknowledgment of the progress we have made.”
Support from university leadership has also been instrumental in facilitating the readiness of the Pharmacy Program, providing both administrative and strategic backing for the accreditation agenda.
With the momentum of preparation continuing through March, the Bachelor of Pharmacy Program is expected to be well-positioned for the site visit and assessment in April 2025. The goal is to achieve a strong accreditation result that reflects the program’s commitment to academic quality, innovation, and service to the health sector.
