
Pepi Novianti, born in Bengkulu on November 23rd , 1985. I finished my Elementary and High School in Bengkulu. Graduated from SMA Negeri 2 Bengkulu, I continued studying at University of Bengkulu in 2003. Completed my Bachelor degree/Sarjana Sains (S,Si) in 2007 from the Department of Mathematics – College of Mathematics and Natural Sciences – University of Bengkulu.
Under the supervision of Prof. H. A. A. Matjjik, M.Sc, Ph.D., I finished my dissertation entitled “Confidence Region and Genotype Stability Estimation of AMMI Model by Bootstrap Resampling.”. I received my Magister of Science (M.Si) in the field of Statistics and graduated in June 2010.
I have been working as a lecturer at University of Bengkulu since 2008. As a lecturer, I have three main tasks. Those are teaching, research and community service. On teaching, I teach in maths with my field of interest is statistics. I provide lectures on statistical methods, introduction of probability theory, mathematical statistics, computational statistics, and data mining. On research, I am required to have research and the results of such research should be published at least once a year. For research, I focus on spatial analysis and time series. Besides teaching and research, I am also required to contribute my knowledge to the general public. I have to do a field trip to do community service. The community service that I do is to providing elaborate mathematics learning to school students and school teachers.

- April – November 2013 : Descriptive statistics analysis to estimate poverty mapping in Kota Bengkulu
- April – November 2014 : Estimation poverty mapping of distric level in Kabupaten Mukomuko using Small Area Estimation
- April – November 2015 : Structural Model for Satisfaction of user of Alumnus Department of Mathematics, University of Bengkulu
- April – November 2016 : Application of K-means cluster analysis for Classification of tectonic earthquake zones in Bengkulu Province Indonesia
- April 2017 – Now : The zonation and forecasting of earthquake events with spatial statistical approaches as an effort to strengthen early warning systems.
- April 2018 – Now : Selection of the best ARIMA model for monthly rainfall forecasting using AIC and BIC criterion.
