Grand Night and Closing Ceremony of Statistics Fair 2025: A Manifestation of Appreciation and Collaboration for UNIB Statistics Students / Malam Puncak dan Penutupan Statistics Fair 2025: Wujud Apresiasi dan Kolaborasi untuk Mahasiswa Statistika UNIB

Bengkulu, September 27, 2025 – The series of activities of Statistics Fair (STATFAIR) 2025, organized by the Statistics Student Association (HIMASTA) of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Bengkulu, was officially concluded with a vibrant grand closing ceremony held at the Bengkulu Provincial Government Hall. Carrying the theme “Estadica Magica: Where Numbers Spark Wonders,” this event marked the end of a sequence of academic programs, competitions, and seminars that had taken place since the opening on September 20, 2025.

The closing ceremony was attended by various distinguished guests, including the Chair of the Statistics Fair 2025 Organizing Committee (Padhlan Rahmat Hidayah), the Chair of HIMASTA (Anggun Paila), the HIMASTA Advisor (Wina Ayu Lestari, S.Si., M.Stat.), the Coordinator of the Undergraduate Statistics Study Program (Dr. Pepi Novianti, S.Si., M.Si.), as well as the Vice Dean III of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Bengkulu, in charge of Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation. Also present was the Head of the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Bengkulu Province, Ir. Win Rizal, M.E., as a guest of honor and a key partner in this event.

In her remarks, Dr. Pepi Novianti expressed high appreciation to HIMASTA and the entire organizing committee for the successful implementation of Statistics Fair 2025, which not only showcased academic enthusiasm but also highlighted students’ creativity and collaboration. “This activity proves that Statistics students of UNIB are capable of playing an active role in promoting the importance of data and making statistics a discipline that is closely connected to real-life applications,” she stated.

Meanwhile, the Head of BPS Bengkulu Province emphasized the importance of synergy between statistical institutions and higher education institutions in building a culture of data literacy within society. He expressed his hope that events such as Statistics Fair would continue to be developed to produce a data-literate and highly competitive young generation.

The highlight of the evening was the award presentation to the winners of competitions held throughout the event series, including the Sipaling Statistika Competition, Poetry Competition, and Scientific Writing Competition. The winners received certificates and awards presented directly by the Study Program Coordinator, the HIMASTA Advisor, and representatives of BPS Bengkulu Province.

On the same occasion, the Vice Dean III of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences conveyed his appreciation for the collaborative spirit demonstrated by HIMASTA and expressed his hope that Statistics Fair would continue to be a flagship annual program that strengthens the positive image of UNIB Statistics students in both academic and social spheres.

The closing ceremony was conducted in a warm and proud atmosphere and concluded with a group photo session involving the organizing committee, lecturers, invited guests, and competition winners, symbolizing togetherness and the success of Statistics Fair 2025.

With the conclusion of this event, the Undergraduate Statistics Study Program of Universitas Bengkulu hopes that the spirit of “Where Numbers Spark Wonders” will continue to inspire students to innovate and contribute through the power of data for the advancement of the nation.

Bengkulu, 27 September 2025 – Rangkaian kegiatan Statistics Fair (STATFAIR) 2025 yang diselenggarakan oleh Himpunan Mahasiswa Statistika (HIMASTA) Fakultas MIPA Universitas Bengkulu resmi ditutup dalam acara puncak yang berlangsung meriah di Ruang Pola Pemerintah Provinsi Bengkulu. Kegiatan yang mengusung tema “Estadica Magica: Where Numbers Spark Wonders” ini menandai berakhirnya serangkaian agenda akademik, kompetisi, dan seminar yang telah digelar sejak pembukaan pada 20 September 2025.

Acara penutupan dihadiri oleh berbagai pihak, antara lain Ketua Panitia Statistics Fair 2025 (Padhlan Rahmat Hidayah), Ketua HIMASTA (Anggun Paila), Pembina HIMASTA (Wina Ayu Lestari, S.Si., M.Stat.), Koordinator Program Studi S1 Statistika (Dr. Pepi Novianti, S.Si., M.Si.), serta Wakil Dekan III Fakultas MIPA Universitas Bengkulu Bidang Kemahasiswaan, Alumni, dan Kerja Sama. Turut hadir pula Kepala Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Provinsi Bengkulu, Ir. Win Rizal. M.E. sebagai tamu kehormatan sekaligus mitra utama dalam kegiatan ini.

Dalam sambutannya, Dr. Pepi Novianti menyampaikan apresiasi tinggi kepada HIMASTA dan seluruh panitia atas keberhasilan pelaksanaan Statistics Fair 2025 yang tidak hanya menampilkan semangat akademik, tetapi juga kreativitas dan kolaborasi mahasiswa. “Kegiatan ini menjadi bukti bahwa mahasiswa Statistika UNIB mampu berperan aktif dalam memasyarakatkan pentingnya data dan menjadikan statistika sebagai ilmu yang dekat dengan kehidupan nyata,” ungkapnya.

Sementara itu, Kepala BPS Provinsi Bengkulu dalam sambutannya menekankan pentingnya sinergi antara lembaga statistik dan perguruan tinggi dalam membangun budaya literasi data di masyarakat. Ia berharap kegiatan seperti Statistics Fair dapat terus dikembangkan untuk mencetak generasi muda yang melek data dan berdaya saing tinggi.

Acara puncak ditandai dengan penyerahan hadiah kepada para pemenang lomba yang telah berkompetisi selama rangkaian kegiatan berlangsung, meliputi Lomba Sipaling Statistika, Lomba Puisi, serta Lomba Karya Tulis Ilmiah. Para pemenang menerima sertifikat dan penghargaan secara langsung dari Koordinator Prodi, Pembina HIMASTA, dan perwakilan BPS Provinsi Bengkulu.

Dalam kesempatan yang sama, Wakil Dekan III Fakultas MIPA memberikan apresiasi atas semangat kolaboratif yang ditunjukkan oleh HIMASTA, serta mengharapkan agar kegiatan Statistics Fair terus menjadi agenda unggulan yang memperkuat citra positif mahasiswa Statistika UNIB di bidang akademik dan sosial.

Acara penutupan berlangsung hangat dan penuh rasa bangga, ditutup dengan sesi foto bersama seluruh panitia, dosen, tamu undangan, dan para pemenang lomba sebagai simbol kebersamaan dan keberhasilan Statistics Fair 2025.

Dengan berakhirnya kegiatan ini, Prodi S1 Statistika Universitas Bengkulu berharap semangat “Where Numbers Spark Wonders” terus menyala dalam diri mahasiswa untuk terus berinovasi dan berkontribusi melalui kekuatan data demi kemajuan bangsa.
