The rector of Bengkulu University, Dr. Retno Agustina Ekaputri, welcomed the return of the new Statistics doctoral graduate, Dr. Idhia Sriliana, S.Si., M.Si., from the Sepuluh November Institute of Technology, Surabaya.
Dr. Idhia Sriliana, a lecturer at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) UNIB, has completed her doctoral degree specializing in Statistics from the Sepuluh November Institute of Technology (ITS) in Surabaya. This remarkable achievement makes her one of the young doctors contributing to the advancement of scientific knowledge in Indonesia.
The presence of Dr. Idhia Sriliana among the UNIB family was warmly welcomed by the Rector of UNIB, Dr. Retno Agustina Ekaputri. In her welcoming speech, Dr. Retno appreciated Dr. Idhia’s dedication and hard work in completing her doctoral education and her contribution to the development of the field of statistics.
“We are very proud of Dr. Idhia Sriliana’s achievement in successfully completing her doctoral education with excellence. Her achievement is not only a source of pride for UNIB but also for the nation of Indonesia. We believe that the knowledge and research she produces will make a positive contribution in facing various challenges in the future,” said Dr. Retno Agustina Ekaputri.
Dr. Idhia herself expressed her gratitude for the support from UNIB, family, and friends throughout her academic journey. “This is a very special moment for me. I would like to express my gratitude to all parties who have supported me throughout this journey. May the knowledge I have gained be beneficial to many people and may I implement it in the development of statistics in Indonesia,” said Dr. Idhia Sriliana.
The 104th graduation ceremony of UNIB was also attended by graduating students and other invited guests who celebrated the success of the graduates. Thousands of UNIB students from various faculties have officially turned a new chapter in their lives, ready to take on the responsibility as agents of change in society.
