Welcoming New Family Members of the Undergraduate Statistics Program: Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) Class of 2025 — Menyambut Keluarga Baru Prodi S1 Statistika: Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus Mahasiswa Baru (PKKMB) Angkatan 2025
The Undergraduate Statistics Program, Universitas Bengkulu, warmly welcomes the arrival of the 2025 cohort through a series of activities under the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB), which has been taking place since August 4, 2025. A total of 81 new students from various regions and provinces across Indonesia have officially joined and become part of the big family of the Undergraduate Statistics Program.
The PKKMB activities began at the university and faculty levels, followed by activities at the departmental level. Within the Department of Mathematics, new students were introduced to the organizational structure, faculty members, and available facilities. They also received an introduction to the Mathematics Laboratory, which serves as a vital resource for learning and research.
The next stage was the program-level introduction. The Undergraduate Statistics Program provided students with an overview of the vision, mission, and curriculum of the program, including the mechanisms for the online Study Plan Card (KRS) and Study Result Sheet (LHS), which are integrated into the university’s academic system. During this session, Academic Advisors (PA) were also assigned to accompany students throughout their studies. Furthermore, the new students were given insights into career prospects in the field of statistics, enabling them to understand from the outset the broad career opportunities available in various sectors. In addition, they were introduced to the Statistics Student Association (HIMASTA) as a platform for personal development, interests, and talents outside of lectures.
Through this PKKMB, it is expected that the new students of the Undergraduate Statistics Program Class of 2025 will become more familiar with the campus environment, gain a deeper understanding of the academic system, and be well-prepared to begin their academic journey with enthusiasm and high motivation. The presence of these 81 new students brings fresh energy in realizing the vision of the Undergraduate Statistics Program to produce excellent graduates who are competitive and make real contributions to regional and national development.
Prodi S1 Statistika Universitas Bengkulu menyambut kehadiran mahasiswa baru angkatan 2025 melalui rangkaian kegiatan Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus Mahasiswa Baru (PKKMB) yang telah berlangsung sejak 4 Agustus 2025. Sebanyak 81 mahasiswa baru dari berbagai daerah dan provinsi di Indonesia resmi bergabung dan menjadi bagian dari keluarga besar Prodi S1 Statistika.
Kegiatan PKKMB dimulai dari tingkat universitas dan fakultas, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan kegiatan di tingkat jurusan. Di lingkungan Jurusan Matematika, mahasiswa baru diperkenalkan dengan struktur organisasi, dosen, serta fasilitas yang tersedia. Selanjutnya, mahasiswa diberikan materi pengenalan Laboratorium Matematika yang menjadi sarana pendukung pembelajaran dan penelitian.
Kegiatan berikutnya adalah pengenalan Prodi, Prodi S1 Statistika memberikan penjelasan mengenai visi, misi, dan kurikulum program studi, termasuk mekanisme Kartu Rencana Studi (KRS) dan Lembar Hasil Studi (LHS) secara online yang terintegrasi dengan sistem akademik universitas. Pada kesempatan ini juga dilakukan pembagian Dosen Pembimbing Akademik (PA) sebagai pendamping mahasiswa selama masa studi. Selain itu, mahasiswa baru juga mendapatkan wawasan mengenai prospek dan dunia kerja bidang statistika, sehingga sejak dini mereka memahami peluang karier yang terbuka luas di berbagai sektor. Selanjutnya, mahasiswa juga diberikan pengenalan Himpunan Mahasiswa Statistika (HIMASTA) sebagai wadah pengembangan diri, minat, dan bakat mahasiswa di luar perkuliahan.
Melalui PKKMB ini, diharapkan mahasiswa baru Prodi S1 Statistika Angkatan 2025 dapat lebih mengenal lingkungan kampus, memahami sistem akademik, serta mempersiapkan diri untuk menempuh perjalanan studi dengan semangat dan motivasi yang tinggi. Kehadiran 81 mahasiswa baru ini menjadi energi baru dalam mewujudkan visi Prodi S1 Statistika untuk mencetak lulusan unggul, berdaya saing, dan berkontribusi nyata bagi pembangunan daerah maupun nasional.
