The Undergraduate Chemistry Program at the University of Bengkulu successfully hosted an international lecture entitled “Nanomaterials: Fabrication and Applications” on November 12, 2025. The event was conducted online via Zoom Meeting and brought together participants from Indonesia and India as part of efforts to strengthen international academic engagement. The lecture featured Assoc. Prof. Uma Shanker from the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar, Punjab, India, as the keynote speaker. In his presentation, he comprehensively discussed the fundamental principles of nanomaterials, various fabrication methods, and their applications in fields such as electronics, energy, environmental science, and biotechnology. The session provided valuable insights into current research trends and future prospects in nanomaterials science.

The discussion was moderated by Eduwin Saputra, M.Sc., from the University of Bengkulu, who facilitated an interactive exchange of ideas between the keynote speaker and participants. The question-and-answer session reflected strong enthusiasm, with participants actively engaging in discussions related to research challenges and potential applications of nanomaterials. The international lecture was hosted by Prof. Poedji Loekitowati Hariani from Sriwijaya University and Muhamad Alvin Reagen from the University of Bengkulu. The event received official support from the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Prof. Sal Prima Yudha S. (the University of Bengkulu), and Prof. Hermansyah (Sriwijaya University), highlighting strong institutional collaboration.

This activity aimed to broaden academic perspectives, enhance knowledge exchange, and strengthen international research collaboration in the field of nanomaterials. Through this international lecture, the Undergraduate Chemistry Program, the University of Bengkulu, hopes to foster a stronger research culture and encourage the development of impactful scientific research with global relevance.
