Vission and Mission

Based on the vision of the University of Bengkulu (Unib) and the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), as well as the results of comprehensive discussions involving internal and external stakeholders, the vision of the Undergraduate Chemistry Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Bengkulu, is formulated as follows:

“To become an excellent, cultured, and internationally competitive Undergraduate Chemistry Study Program in the development of chemistry through the study of tropical and coastal natural resources.”

Based on the vision of the Undergraduate Chemistry Study Program, the missions are:

  1. To implement excellent and professional study program governance to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of academic and administrative services.
  2. To provide high-quality chemistry education and learning to produce graduates who are excellent, possess strong character, and are internationally competitive.
  3. To carry out community service through the application of chemistry for tropical and coastal environments based on education, health, economics, and science and technology.
  4. To advance science and technology in the field of chemistry through innovative and sustainable research based on tropical and coastal natural resources.
  5. To strengthen national and international collaboration in education, research, community service, and industry to enhance the academic capacity and competitiveness of the Undergraduate Chemistry Study Program.

To achieve its vision and missions, the Undergraduate Chemistry Study Program has established the following objectives:

  1. To develop excellent and professional study program governance to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of academic and administrative services.
  2. To produce undergraduate chemistry graduates who are excellent, possess strong character, and are internationally competitive.
  3. To enhance the contribution of the study program to community service through the application of chemistry for tropical and coastal environments based on education, health, economics, and science and technology.
  4. To produce innovative and sustainable research in chemistry based on tropical and coastal natural resources.
  5. To strengthen national and international collaboration in education, research, community service, and industry to enhance the academic capacity and competitiveness of the Undergraduate Chemistry Study Program.

The targets of the Undergraduate Chemistry Study Program are:

  1. The realization of excellent and professional study program governance to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of academic and administrative services.
  2. The realization of undergraduate chemistry graduates who are excellent, possess strong character, and are internationally competitive.
  3. Increased contribution and impact of community service through the application of chemistry for tropical and coastal environments based on education, health, economics, and science and technology.
  4. Improved quality and quantity of innovative and sustainable research in chemistry based on tropical and coastal natural resources.
  5. Increased involvement of lecturers and students in national and international collaboration in education, research, community service, and industry to enhance the academic capacity and competitiveness of the Undergraduate Chemistry Study Program.
