
Chemistry Undergraduate Program of Universitas Bengkulu Conducts Internship Student Placement to Partner Institutions
Bengkulu, June 2, 2025 – The Undergraduate Chemistry Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, The University of Bengkulu, officially conducted the placement and handover of internship students to several partner institutions on Monday, June 2, 2025. The handover was carried out by internship academic supervisors as part of the implementation of the student internship program.
A total of 54 students from the Chemistry Undergraduate Program participated in the internship program, which will take place for approximately two months, from June 2 to August 8, 2025. The internships aim to provide students with practical experience, professional skills, and real-world exposure relevant to their academic background in chemistry.
The partner institutions involved in this internship program include BPOM Bengkulu, PLTU Bengkulu, DLHK Provinsi Bengkulu, Balai Karantina Hewan Ikan dan tumbuhan, DLH Kota Bengkulu, and PT Sucofindo Bengkulu. These institutions play an important role in facilitating students’ learning in areas such as laboratory analysis, environmental monitoring, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.



The Head of the Chemistry Undergraduate Program expressed the program’s expectations regarding the internship implementation. The Head stated that this internship program is expected to strengthen students’ competencies, professionalism, and work ethics, as well as to broaden their understanding of the application of chemistry in various professional fields. Furthermore, the internship experience is anticipated to prepare students to be more competitive and adaptive in facing future career challenges.
Through this internship program, the Chemistry Undergraduate Program of Universitas Bengkulu reaffirms its commitment to enhancing experiential learning and strengthening collaboration with external institutions to improve the quality of graduates. [Vicka Andini]
