
IFTAR GATHERING OF LECTURERS AND STAFF OF THE UNDERGRADUATE AND MASTER’S CHEMISTRY PROGRAMS AT UNIVERSITY OF BENGKULU: STRENGTHENING BONDS IN THE HOLY MONTH OF RAMADAN
On March 12, 2025, the Undergraduate Chemistry Program and the Master’s Chemistry Program at the University of Bengkulu held an iftar gathering attended by lecturers and staff. This event aimed to strengthen ties and foster a sense of togetherness among the academic community of both programs.
Yoravika Dwiwibangga, S.Si., M.Si. hosted the event and began with a welcoming speech by Dr. Eka Angasa, S.Si., M.Si., who emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration in achieving academic goals and enhancing the quality of education.



Following the speech, the event featured a religious sermon delivered by Dr. Agus Martono H.P., DEA. In his sermon, he highlighted the importance of noble character in daily life, both in the workplace and in social interactions. He reminded everyone that Ramadan is the perfect time to cultivate patience, honesty, and compassion towards others. A more harmonious, respectful, and productive academic environment can be nurtured by instilling these values.

As iftar approached, attendees joined in prayer before breaking their fast together and enjoying the prepared meals. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and camaraderie, reflecting the strong spirit of togetherness among the lecturers and staff of the Undergraduate and Master’s Chemistry Programs at the University of Bengkulu.
This iftar gathering is expected to become an annual tradition, serving as a means to further strengthen relationships within the academic community and create a harmonious and productive work environment. [Vicka Andini]
