One of the Chemistry Lecturers Selected for the 2022 Ministry of Education and Culture Detasering Flagship Program
Department of Chemistry. Prof. Dr. Morina Adfa, S.Sc., M.Si, a lecturer in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Bengkulu, was chosen as one of 60 DIKTI DETASER in 2022.
Detaser Program selection results will be announced based on Director of Resources DIKTI letter No. 3271/E4/PP.02.04/2022, dated August 16, 2022. The Detasering Program is a program that sends a DETASER expert lecturer from Pertisum (Source College) to Pertisas (Target College). The goals of the 2022 DIKTI Detasering activities are to improve the academic climate and lecturer skills in carrying out the Tridharma PT., to improve the quality of PBM in Pertisas, to assist Pertisas in developing policies for implementing MBKM, to supplement and improve the completeness of Pertisas institutional documents, and to build a network of cooperation between Pertisas-Pertisum and other institutions. Based on the goals of the Detasering activities, five programs were created: improving the quality of learning, improving the quality of proposals and research results publication, improving the quality of proposals and public service publications, increasing institutional capacity, and initiating and managing scientific journals.
Prof. Morina has been assigned to Samudra University (UNSAM), Langsa-Aceh to provide training and assistance in three programs proposed by Samudra University, namely: research proposal preparation and internet-based literature search, scientific paper writing training and assistance, and assistance in obtaining IPR (Patents, Copyright, etc.). Detasering activities are carried out for 25 days in a hybrid manner, with 20 days of activities carried out online and 5 days of activities carried out offline. Alhamdulillah, the activity went off without a hitch, and the outcomes of the activities promised by Pertisas were met on time, with the lecturers participating in the activity completing drafts of research proposals, drafts of international publications, and drafts of patents/simple patents/copyright registration. The participants, who were young UNSAM lecturers, were very enthusiastic about taking part in this mentoring activity, whether through flat form zoom meetings or direct discussions with the Detaser. Mr. Zulfan Arico, S.Sc., M.Sc., the Pertisas activity’s PIC, hopes that similar activities will be won again by UNSAM in 2023, citing the numerous benefits they receive from mentoring and training activities over the course of 25 days.
Mr. Dr. Ir. Hamdani, M.T., rector of Samudra University, stated at the opening ceremony that this activity was a valuable experience for UNSAM, and that it was hoped that this activity would be able to increase the number of reputable international publications and publications in accredited national journals, as well as the number of UNSAM HaKI acquisitions in 2023. He advised participants to take their participation in activities seriously and earnestly.
