GEOPHYSICS STUDY PROGRAM

The geophysics study program was founded in 2017. In its development, the physics study program has 10 lecturers with expertise in physics and earth physics/geophysics. To support the teaching and learning process, the Geophysics Study Program has various classrooms, laboratories, laboratory equipment, multimedia rooms, laboratory staff, and administrative staff. In addition, currently accredited “BAIK” by BAN-PT.

GEOPHYSICS STUDY PROGRAM SPECIFIC LEARNING

The Geophysics Study Program is intended to produce Geophysics Bachelors who master physical science and have the competence to explore coastal areas using geophysical methods to find energy sources (oil, gas and geothermal), minerals, earthquake disaster mitigation, abrasion, landslides and others. Mastery of the geophysical method includes; data acquisition, processing and interpretation.
Students of the Geophysics Study Program will certainly gain competence in the field of geophysics through quality learning activities. Students are also educated professionally in problem solving, project management, team work and leadership, as well as communication skills.

FEATURED ACTIVITIES

The geophysics study program has various routine activities to improve the quality and learning outcomes. Several routine activities include Stadium Generale, International Conference, Field course, and other activities. This public conference is held at least four times a year with themes and resource persons who are qualified in their fields.

The UNIB Geophysics Study Program website provides information from the study program to the wider community which can be accessed by students, lecturers, education staff, alumni, and stakeholders. The hope of this website is to be able to establish good communication between study programs and departments with the entire academic community or anyone who wants to know more about the UNIB Geophysics Study Program. The desired end goal is for this Study Program to become widely known both nationally and internationally. We realize that this website is currently under development, so we expect criticism and suggestions from visitors for the progress of the Bengkulu University Geophysics Study Program.
