Reception of Internship Students from the Bachelor of Mathematics Study Program at Cybertrend Data Academy

On December 24, 2024, the Bachelor of Mathematics Study Program at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Bengkulu University, held a reception event for students who had completed their internship program at Cybertrend Data Academy, Jakarta. Representing the study program, Mrs. Septri Damayanti, S.Si., M.Si., was present to personally welcome the students back at the internship location. A total of five students participated in this internship program, returning with invaluable experiences and insights in data and technology.

This internship program is part of the program’s efforts to support the Merdeka Campus Competition Program (PKKM), aiming to provide students with real-world work experience in the industry. Cybertrend Data Academy, as a leading company in data analytics, served as a strategic partner for this initiative. Over the course of approximately five months, the students underwent training and gained hands-on experience in managing, analyzing, and utilizing data to support strategic decision-making.

During the event, Mrs. Septri Damayanti expressed her gratitude to Cybertrend Data Academy for their support and guidance to the students throughout the internship. In her remarks, she emphasized the importance of collaboration between academia and industry in enhancing graduates’ competencies to prepare them for competitive job markets. She also encouraged the students to continue developing their skills and applying the knowledge they had gained for personal growth and institutional advancement.

The five students who completed the internship shared their experiences during the program. They reported gaining significant new insights, particularly in data analytics, big data management, and the use of modern technologies such as machine learning and artificial intelligence. They also noted that the internship helped refine not only their technical skills but also their soft skills, including communication, teamwork, and time management.

This reception event also served as a moment of reflection on the success of the internship program.
