Curriculum changes is a natural process influenced by many factors such as the development of science and technology, community needs, modern advances, and new government policies. To examine the problems that arise and respond to developments in the industrial era 5.0, the Bachelor of Mathematics Study Program held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the revision of the Bachelor of Mathematics Study Program Curriculum by inviting stakeholders. The FGD activity was held virtually on Saturday, 25th November, 2023 which was attended by stakeholders from the government, private and banking sectors. The FGD event was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Bengkulu University, Dr. Jarulis, M.Si.
The purpose of this FGD is to obtain accurate feedback and information regarding the graduate criteria that must be formed to obtain the appropriate student graduate profile to be used as a basis for the Graduate Learning Outcomes and will be outlined in the Curriculum. In addition, it is also to get input regarding the needs of the world of work to fulfill the link and match between DU-DI (Business and Industry Sectors) and Human Resources produced by Higher Education, in facing the industrial era 5.0.
