Guest Lecture with External Lecturer: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Noor Fadiya Binti Mohd Noor from Malaya University, Malaysia
In October 2024, the Bachelor of Mathematics Study Program at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Bengkulu University, hosted a special lecture series featuring a guest lecturer from Universiti Malaya, Malaysia, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Noor Fadiya Binti Mohd Noor. The sessions were conducted over four meetings on October 21, 23, 28, and 30, 2024, as part of the Introduction to Dynamical Systems course. This initiative, an implementation of the Merdeka Campus Competition Program (PKKM), aimed to provide students with a unique learning experience and broaden their academic perspectives.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Noor Fadiya delivered in-depth and interactive lectures, enabling students to grasp the significance of dynamical systems in modeling continuous and discrete changes. Her teaching focused on the stability theory of dynamical systems, guiding students through stability analysis, fixed points, and bifurcation theory with a blend of theoretical approaches and simple case studies. This material served as a solid foundation for students to mathematically analyze the behavior of dynamical systems.
The learning sessions incorporated technology for modeling dynamical systems, complemented by interactive discussions and Q&A sessions addressing the challenges and opportunities in studying these systems.

This lecture series provided substantial benefits to students, both academically and through international exposure. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Noor Fadiya’s presence allowed students to view the Introduction to Dynamical Systems course from a global perspective, while also introducing them to modern technological applications in modeling—skills highly relevant in the digital era. Furthermore, this initiative strengthened academic collaboration between Bengkulu University and Universiti Malaya, potentially paving the way for future partnerships in research, community service, and faculty or student exchanges.
On a broader scale, this program supported the internationalization of higher education at Bengkulu University. By learning directly from an international expert, students gained not only in-depth knowledge but also the capability to compete globally. This lecture series is expected to inspire students to apply their newfound knowledge in advanced studies and professional careers while fostering a lifelong enthusiasm for learning and exploring other scientific fields.
