Public Lecturer : Enchancing Performance of Classification Models through Active Learning

The Bachelor of Mathematics Study Program of FMIPA University of Bengkulu held a public lecture with the theme “Enchancing Performance Of Classification Models Through Active Learning: A Statistical Machine Learning Approach” to assist students in understanding the underlying mathematical fundamentals of Machine Learning and connect them to practical implementations.

In the era of advancing technology, Machine Learning and Deep Learning have become very interesting and relevant topics. This topic has great potential to change the way we work, interact and process the data. In this public lecture, the speakers will explore the underlying mathematical fundamentals of Machine Learning/Deep Learning and its implementation.

This public lecture was held on 28th October, 2022 at 13.30 – 16.30 WIB in the meeting room of the Faculty. The speaker came from the Department of Statistics, Bogor Agricultural University, namely Prof. Khairil Anwar Notodiputro, Ph.D. This public lecture was attended by students who were interested in the field of Machine Learning / Deep Learning with a total of 100 people. The material presented by the speaker was entitled “Enchancing Performance Of Classification Models Through Active Learning: A Statistical Machine Learning Approach”. The results achieved in this activity are that the lecturers and students understand more about statistics, especially regarding the field of machine learning. Because the field of machine learning is still relatively new in Mathematics nowadays.
