INDEPENDENT PROJECT OF STUDENT OF PHYSICS STUDY PROGRAM
Project Independent is a self-directed learning program designed to empower students to design, manage, and implement projects aligned with their interests, abilities, and fields of study. As part of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) initiative, this program aims to provide a flexible learning experience beyond the classroom while enhancing students’ skills in solving real-world problems. With a focus on science, technology, and innovation, Project Independent serves as a platform for students to create a positive impact both within the academic environment and in society.
In the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year, 10 groups of Physics Study Program students from the University of Bengkulu participated in this program by carrying out independent projects. These projects focused on applying physics concepts to analyze and address various environmental issues. Through this activity, students not only applied theoretical knowledge but also developed critical skills such as data analysis, fieldwork, and scientific communication. This initiative provided a valuable opportunity to explore how physics can be applied in practical and meaningful ways to solve everyday problems. Additionally, the independent projects were converted into academic credits through the MBKM program.
