Benchmarking at ITB and Telkom University
In an effort to improve the quality of education and institutional performance, The Physics Study Program conducted a benchmarking activity at ITB and Telkom University from October 16-19, 2024. Seven lecturers from the Physics Study Program participated in this activity. The benchmarking was carried out through visits and interviews.
The first discussion was held with the Head of the Physics Study Program at ITB regarding the technical implementation of the MBKM curriculum that has been applied. The next discussion was conducted with the Vice Dean for Resources, the Head of the Engineering Physics Study Program, the Head of the Intelligent Sensing-IoT Laboratory, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Telkom University. The discussions focused on the curriculum and the implementation of the MBKM program at the visited institutions.
From the discussions and brief interviews conducted, it can be concluded that, in general, the MBKM curriculum has not been fully implemented, particularly concerning the conversion of courses. The visited institutions still strictly maintain the quality of their graduates’ learning outcomes. Based on these findings, improvements can also be implemented in the Physics Study Program at UNIB to maintain the quality of its graduates.
