General Lecture "Geothermal Exploration : Targets, Challenges and Production

The Physics Department of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Bengkulu successfully held a public lecture titled “Geothermal Exploration: Targets, Challenges, and Production” on May 16, 2025, at the Main Meeting Room of the Universitas Bengkulu Rectorate Building. The event featured Djoko Anityo Satya Wibowo, S.T., M.T., an expert from PT Geo Dipa Energi (Persero), a state-owned enterprise specializing in the development and utilization of geothermal energy in Indonesia.
In his presentation, Djoko Anityo elaborated on key aspects of geothermal exploration, including resource targeting, technical and geological challenges, as well as efficient and sustainable energy production processes. The lecture was enthusiastically attended by students, lecturers, and professionals, as geothermal energy remains a vital component of Indonesia’s transition to clean energy. This activity reflects the Physics Department’s commitment to broadening academic insights and strengthening the link between higher education and the renewable energy industry.
