
Physics Student Association Holds Community Service Camp in Tamiang Village, Central Bengkulu
The Physics Student Association (HIMAFI) successfully organized a Community Service Camp as a manifestation of student social awareness and commitment to community engagement. The activity was conducted in Tamiang Village, Pagar Jati District, Central Bengkulu Regency, from November 21 to 23, 2025.
The event involved the entire 2025 physics student, with students from the 2021–2024 physics student serving as the organizing committee. Alumni of the Physics Study Program also participated, fostering a strong sense of solidarity and camaraderie among Physics students across generations.
The Community Service Camp aimed to cultivate empathy, solidarity, and social responsibility among students while strengthening the relationship between the academic community and local residents. A range of activities was carried out, including community clean-up initiatives, simple science education for children, and social outreach programs involving the villagers.
Through this activity, members of the Physics Student Association not only enhanced their social awareness but also implemented the values of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly in the area of community service. The program also served as a platform for developing student character, especially in terms of teamwork, leadership, and dedication.
The Physics Study Program expressed its appreciation for the successful implementation of this Community Service Camp and hopes that similar initiatives will continue to be conducted on a sustainable basis, creating a positive impact on the community and strengthening the role of Physics students as agents of change in society.
