
Dean of FMIPA Universitas Bengkulu Signs Cooperation Agreements with the Bengkulu Provincial Office of Communication, Informatics, and Statistics and the Central Bengkulu Regency Office of Community and Village Empowerment/ Dekan FMIPA Universitas Bengkulu Tandatangani PKS dengan Diskominfotik Provinsi Bengkulu dan Dinas PMD Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah
Bengkulu, May 20, 2026 – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Bengkulu, continues to strengthen its institutional partnerships with government agencies through the signing of Cooperation Agreements with the Bengkulu Provincial Office of Communication, Informatics, and Statistics (Diskominfotik) and the Central Bengkulu Regency Office of Community and Village Empowerment (PMD). The agreements were signed by the Dean of FMIPA, Prof. Dr. Sal Prima Yudha, S.Si., M.Si., together with Dr. Hj. Nelly Alesa, S.IP., SKM., M.Si., Head of the Bengkulu Provincial Office of Communication, Informatics, and Statistics, and Marhalim, S.E., M.M., Head of the Central Bengkulu Regency Office of Community and Village Empowerment. Held on May 20, 2026, the signing ceremony reflected a shared commitment to advancing the three pillars of higher education while strengthening collaboration between the university and regional government institutions.
The ceremony was attended by the Dean of FMIPA and the faculty leadership, representatives from the Bengkulu Provincial Office of Communication, Informatics, and Statistics, officials from the Central Bengkulu Regency Office of Community and Village Empowerment, as well as study program coordinators from across FMIPA, including the Coordinator of the Undergraduate Statistics Study Program. The participation of the Undergraduate Statistics Study Program highlighted its active role in implementing collaborative initiatives established through these partnerships.
The collaboration between the Undergraduate Statistics Study Program and the Bengkulu Provincial Office of Communication, Informatics, and Statistics has already been realized through a variety of academic and professional activities. Students have been provided with internship opportunities as part of the program’s experiential learning initiatives. In addition, lecturers and students utilize government sectoral data for research projects, while faculty members from the Undergraduate Statistics Study Program contribute as expert consultants in data analysis and the preparation of statistical publications for the Provincial Government of Bengkulu.
Meanwhile, the partnership with the Central Bengkulu Regency Office of Community and Village Empowerment focuses primarily on community engagement activities, particularly through assistance programs for partner villages. These initiatives include strengthening the capacity of village officials in data management, village profile development, development data analysis, and the utilization of data to support more effective and evidence-based village development planning.
Through these agreements, FMIPA Universitas Bengkulu and its government partners have committed to expanding collaboration in education, research, community service, human resource capacity development, and the advancement and utilization of statistical data to support evidence-based regional development.
For the Undergraduate Statistics Study Program, these strengthened partnerships provide valuable opportunities to enhance the quality of education by involving students in internships, applied research, and community engagement activities. Beyond enriching students’ academic experiences, the collaboration is expected to generate innovative statistical and data science solutions that provide tangible benefits for regional government institutions and local communities.
By reinforcing the partnership between FMIPA Universitas Bengkulu, the Bengkulu Provincial Office of Communication, Informatics, and Statistics, and the Central Bengkulu Regency Office of Community and Village Empowerment, the university expects to develop a wide range of collaborative programs that will enhance higher education quality, strengthen the implementation of the three pillars of higher education, and contribute to regional development through the effective use of accurate, reliable, and sustainable data.
Bengkulu, 20 Mei 2026 – Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (FMIPA) Universitas Bengkulu terus memperkuat jejaring kemitraan dengan berbagai instansi pemerintah melalui penandatanganan Perjanjian Kerja Sama (PKS) antara Dekan FMIPA Universitas Bengkulu, Prof. Dr. Sal Prima Yudha, S.Si., M.Si., dengan Kepala Dinas Komunikasi Informatika dan Statistik (Diskominfotik) Provinsi Bengkulu, Dr. Hj. Nelly Alesa, S.IP, SKM, M.Si, serta Kepala Dinas Pemberdayaan Masyarakat dan Desa (PMD) Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah, Marhalim, S.E, M.M. Kegiatan yang dilaksanakan pada 20 Mei 2026 ini menjadi wujud komitmen bersama dalam mendukung pelaksanaan Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi sekaligus memperkuat sinergi antara perguruan tinggi dan pemerintah daerah.
Penandatanganan PKS dihadiri oleh Dekan FMIPA Universitas Bengkulu beserta jajaran pimpinan fakultas, Kepala Diskominfotik Provinsi Bengkulu beserta staf, Kepala Dinas PMD Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah beserta jajaran, serta para koordinator program studi di lingkungan FMIPA, termasuk Koordinator Program Studi S1 Statistika. Kehadiran Program Studi S1 Statistika mencerminkan peran aktif program studi dalam mengimplementasikan berbagai bentuk kerja sama yang telah berlangsung dengan kedua instansi tersebut.
Kerja sama antara Program Studi S1 Statistika FMIPA Universitas Bengkulu dan Diskominfotik Provinsi Bengkulu selama ini telah diwujudkan melalui berbagai kegiatan akademik dan profesional. Mahasiswa memperoleh kesempatan mengikuti program magang di Diskominfotik sebagai bagian dari implementasi pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman (experiential learning). Selain itu, dosen dan mahasiswa memanfaatkan data sektoral pemerintah dalam berbagai kegiatan penelitian, sementara dosen Program Studi S1 Statistika juga berkontribusi sebagai tenaga ahli dalam penyusunan dan analisis data untuk berbagai publikasi statistik Pemerintah Provinsi Bengkulu.
Di sisi lain, kolaborasi dengan Dinas Pemberdayaan Masyarakat dan Desa (PMD) Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah difokuskan pada pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat, khususnya melalui pendampingan desa binaan. Kegiatan tersebut meliputi penguatan kapasitas aparatur desa dalam pengelolaan data, penyusunan profil desa, analisis data pembangunan, serta pemanfaatan data sebagai dasar perencanaan pembangunan desa yang lebih efektif dan tepat sasaran.
Melalui PKS ini, FMIPA Universitas Bengkulu bersama kedua instansi sepakat untuk memperluas kolaborasi dalam bidang pendidikan, penelitian, pengabdian kepada masyarakat, peningkatan kapasitas sumber daya manusia, serta pengembangan dan pemanfaatan data statistik untuk mendukung pembangunan daerah berbasis bukti (evidence-based development).
Bagi Program Studi S1 Statistika, penguatan kemitraan ini menjadi peluang strategis untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran melalui keterlibatan mahasiswa dalam kegiatan magang, penelitian terapan, dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Selain memperkaya pengalaman akademik mahasiswa, kerja sama ini juga diharapkan mampu menghasilkan berbagai inovasi dan solusi berbasis statistika dan sains data yang memberikan manfaat nyata bagi pemerintah daerah dan masyarakat.
Melalui sinergi yang semakin kuat antara FMIPA Universitas Bengkulu, Diskominfotik Provinsi Bengkulu, dan Dinas PMD Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah, diharapkan akan lahir berbagai program kolaboratif yang mampu meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan tinggi, memperkuat implementasi Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi, serta mendukung pembangunan daerah melalui pemanfaatan data dan informasi yang akurat, terpercaya, dan berkelanjutan.
