Students and lecturers of Biology department, FMIPA UNIB joined the  International Symposium hosted by National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) in collaborating with Indonesian Society for Microbiology (PERMI) in Bogor, 27-28th November 2023

Five students (4 students are graduate students, they are Gustina Dwi Wulandari, S.Si, Reza Wahyuni, S.Si, Nurul Aini S.Si, Agustiono, S.Si and one of them is undergraduate student) and 2 lecturers of Biology Master study program, Dr. Risky Hadi Wibowo, S.Si., M.Si and Dr. Sipriyadi, S.Si., M.Si. attended the 13th International Symposium of Indonesian Seminar Society for Microbiology (ISISM) 2023, and The 10th International Symposium of Innovative Bioproduction Indonesia on Biotechnology & Bioengineering (ISIBIO) 2023 in Conjunction with The 20th Asian Consortium for the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Microbial Resources (ACM) Meeting, located at the Sahira Hotel, Bogor City started at 27-29th November 2023, this international symposium was organized directly by the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) and the Indonesian Microbiology Association (PERMI). This activity provides a lot of knowledge and greatly increases students’ academic capacity with the aim of supporting the development of sustainable microbial resources.

The demands of education in the Industry 4.0 era require improving students soft skills and hard skills. One of the activities that can encourage these abilities is participating in international seminar activities held both within the country and abroad. This international seminar activity is carried out as a medium to increase students insight and communication skills as well as opportunities to build networks both among students and with other parties with long-term benefits, namely producing graduates who quickly get good positions in the world of work which directly represents their level of income and well-being.
