The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Bengkulu University (FMIPA Unib) strengthens international cooperation with the University of Central Punjab (UCP) – Pakistan

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Bengkulu University (FMIPA Unib) strengthens international cooperation with the University of Central Punjab (UCP) – Pakistan through a lecturer exchange program that will take place in the even semester of 2025.
This agreement is outlined in a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) signed online by the Vice Rector for Planning and Cooperation of Unib, Prof. Dr. Irfan Gustian, S.Si, M.Si, and the Pro Rector of the University of Central Punjab (UCP), Prof. Dr. Hammad Naveed, on Wednesday (2/19/2025).

In addition to the two leaders, the Dean of FMIPA UNIB, Prof. Dr. Sal Primayudha S, S.Si, M.Si, and the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology UCP, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh, also signed this MoA. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Vice Deans, staff, and lecturers who will be involved in the exchange program.

As part of the implementation of this cooperation, FMIPA Unib will send four lecturers to UCP-Pakistan to participate in academic activities. In return, UCP-Pakistan will also send four of its lecturers to FMIPA UNIB. The lecturers come from the departments of Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. The four lecturers from FMIPA UNIB who will depart are Ramya Rachmawati, Ph.D, Dr. Devi Ratnawati, Dr. Elfi Yuliza, and Dr. Risky Hadi Wibowo. Meanwhile, the four lecturers from UCP-Pakistan who will participate in the program at FMIPA UNIB are Dr. Muhammad Rayees Ahmad, Dr. Shafiq Ur Rehman, Dr. Muddasir Ali Shah, and Dr. Namrah Anwar.

Prof. Irfan Gustian as the Vice Rector for Planning and Cooperation of Unib, expressed appreciation to UCP-Pakistan for this strategic partnership. He emphasized that this collaboration is based on a shared vision to achieve academic and research excellence in each institution. “Hopefully, this collaboration can bring positive impact, drive innovation, and strengthen academic growth and development for both universities,” said Prof. Irfan Gustian.
