
Benchmarking of Biology Master Study Program, FMIPA UNIB to Biology Department, FMIPA IPB University
The development of the Biology Masters Study Program is directed at developments in science and technology, the condition of regional natural resources and the needs of stakeholders which are dynamic over time. Educational institutions require that many learning activities not only come from classroom lectures, but must also be based on problem solving and knowledge sharing from practitioners and lecturers who come from outside the campus. Therefore, it needs to be supported by a quality curriculum to produce graduates who meet expectations.

This branchmarking activity/agenda aims to increase insight in developing quality learning curriculum and research studies, especially in the Biology Master Study Program, to compare the curriculum and research studies between Biology Master study program in University of Bengkulu and Biology Master Study Program in IPB, to obtain references and information regarding curriculum development, establishing cooperation and good relations, and establishing a collaborative Implementation Arrangement (IA) relationship in research collaboration between Biology Master study program of UNIB and Biology department, FMIPA, IPB University, Bogor, Indonesia.

Biology Master Study Program, FMIPA UNIB conducted a Curriculum Benchmarking visitation to the Department of Biology FMIPA, IPB University on November 29 2023 with the aim of getting an overview of the management and research studies of the Biology Study Program. To support preparation for Masters in Biology FMIPA UNIB accreditation, a lot of weel preparation needs to be taken. This Curriculum Benchmarking activity was welcomed directly by the Head of the Biology Department, Dr. Ir. Iman Rusmana M.Si, Coordinator of the Microbiology Postgraduate Study Program (MIK), Prof. Dr. Anja Meryandini, MS, Coordinator of the Animal Biosciences Postgraduate Study Program (BSH), Prof. Dr. Tri Atmowidi, M.Si, Secretary of the Plant Biology Doctoral Study Program, Prof. Dr. Dra. Triadati, M.Si, as well as the MBKM and Cooperation division & Secretary of the Microbiology Study Program (MIK), Dr. Rika Indri Astuti, S.Si., M.Si, who helped provide an overview of the curriculum and research studies of the Department of Biology, FMIPA, IPB University.
