
Biology Department and FMIPA UNIB intensively carry out the disseminations and promotions of “FMIPA Goes to School” Program to Senior High School Students and Teachers
The National Selection for New Student Admissions (SNPMB) in 2024 has begun, marked by the registration of school SNPMB Accounts and student accounts since January 8 2024. The Biology Department and the dissemination and Promotion Team of FMIPA UNIB are intensively carrying out the “FMIPA Goes to School” program to conduct the disseminations related to study programs at FMIPA to the teachers and students of Senior High School in three different provinces (Bengkulu, South Sumatra and Lampung provinces) starting from January 24th to January 27th 2024.
“FMIPA goes to school” held the disseminations and promotions in more than 50 senior high schools starting from Seluma, Central Bengkulu, Kepahiang, Rejang Lebong, South Bengkulu, Kaur, Pagar Alam, Krui, and Tanggamus districts. This activity invites teachers and students, so that they get accurate information about SNPMB and more comprehensive information about the reasons why they should choose the study programs at FMIPA UNIB.
Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), University of Bengkulu has 14 study programs, three of them are Master’s Study Programs in Biology, Chemistry and Statistics. Seven Study Programs are undergraduate Study Programs, they are Biology, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Physics, Geophysics, Mathematics and Statistics, while the other 4 study programs are vocational study programs, namely Pharmacy, Midwifery, Nursing and Laboratory of Sciences Study Programs. Currently, most of the Study Programs at FMIPA UNIB have been accredited “Unggul” ,“Baik sekali” for National Accreditation and also most of FMIPA UNIB Study Programs have also been internationally accredited by ACQUIN – Germany.
The disseminations and promotions team at this activity conveyed technical information on the SNPMB process, including requirements, selection stages, explanation of online registration steps, schedule and assessment system, capacity, and understanding of policy changes or the latest relevant information.
Apart from that, it also explained the UNIB profile, FMIPA study program profiles, graduate targets and the capacity of new students for 2024 at FMIPA UNIB. It also explains the reasons why the students should choose UNIB as a place to continue their studies. By the program of “FMIPA Goes to school”, it is hoped that it will increase the attraction of students to choose the FMIPA study program as their first choice during SNBPT, and they can be selected and join FMIPA UNIB to become the university students this year.
