Biology Lecturers staff, FMIPA, UNIB attended the Rakernas KOBI 2023 at SITH ITB, Bandung 29-30th Nov 2023

KOBI (Indonesian Biology Consortium/Konsorsium Biologi Indonesia) is a collaborative forum that brings faculties and biology study programs at all universities in Indonesia. The aim of KOBI is to strengthen cooperation, exchange knowledge and joint development in the field of biology. Every year KOBI always holds a National Working Meeting/Rapat Kerja Nasional (RAKERNAS) which is attended by all biology lecturers at all universities in Indonesia.

In 2023, RAKERNAS KOBI held on November, 29-30th at Sekolah Ilmu dan Teknologi Hayati (SITH) ITB Bandung  as the host. This RAKERNAS was attended by 108 participants from various study programs such as Biology, Biology Education, Biotechnology, Microbiology and Applied Biology study programs spread throughout Indonesia.

This event was also attended by lecturers staff from the Biology Department and the Dean of FMIPA, Bengkulu University as representatives to take part in this RAKERNAS, namely Dr. Jarulis, M.Si (Dean), Dr. Sipriyadi, M.Si (Head of Department) ,  Dr. Risky Hadi Wibowo, M.Si (Coordinator of Biology Master Study Program), Fatimatuzzahra, M.Sc (Coordinator of  Biology Bachelor Study Program) and Vestidhia Yunisya Atmaja, M.Sc (Secretary of Department). This KOBI event was held for 2 days, on the first day, it was filled with material including strengthening the Biology MIPA Cluster, Pengajaran Biologi di Tingkat SMU (MGMP), the Guest Teacher Program and the Life Curator SKKNI which is expected to help the human resource process in government and non-government agencies, this event closed with a workshop on Developing and Completing OBE and MBKM Curriculum Templates. Furthermore, the second day of RAKERNAS was filled with workshop on filling out the Lamsama Accreditation Forms. This RAKERNAS can support the KOBI’s commitment to achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially in improving inclusive education (SDG 4) through sustainable collaboration (SDG 17) and can strengthen collaboration between members and Indonesia’s biodiversity to achieve sustainable development.
