Workshop of Curriculum Review of Biology Master's Study Program FMIPA UNIB by the Indonesian Biology Consortium (KOBI)

Biology Master’s study program, FMIPA UNIB has been established for 2 years since early 2022, and it is currently in the process of applying for an accreditation certificate by Independent Accreditation Institute for Natural Sciences and Formal Sciences (LANSAMA). Before applying for accreditation at LANSAMA, the Biology master’s program begins its steps by carrying out accreditation preparations, one of them by conducting an ongoing curriculum review workshop conducted by the invited speaker: Chairman of the Indonesian Biology Consortium (KOBI), Prof. Budi S. Daryono M.Sc. Agr. Ph.D.

This activity was held in the FMIPA Dean’s meeting room on Friday 3^th November 2023, from 1.30 to 4. pm. This activity was opened directly by the Dean of FMIPA UNIB, Dr. Jarulis M.Si and attended by lecturers staff from the biology department and several Biology Master’s study program students.

Material studies from this curriculum review workshop are: 1. Curriculum redesign based on KKNI and KOBI with LANSAMA criteria, 2. Synchronization of learning outcomes/graduates with LANSAMA criteria, 3. Formulation of course learning outcomes and final assignment learning outcomes, 4. Formulate methods Biology learning, 5. Techniques for assessing learning outcomes in Biology courses. The results of this curriculum workshop are useful as guidelines for curriculum preparation, preparation of RPS and creation of teaching materials. With the completion of the LANSAMA standard Biology curriculum development workshop, the biology master’s program can improve the curriculum guidebook in accordance with suggestions and input from the Chairman of KOBI so that it can be used as a reference during the accreditation process next year.
