Promotional Activities at Senior High School In The South Bengkulu Region

From February 4–7, 2025, lecturers from the Physics Study Program of FMIPA, Universitas Bengkulu conducted a series of promotional visits to several schools in the South Bengkulu and South Bengkulu Regency, Bengkulu Province. This initiative aimed to broaden the reach of information about the Physics Study Program and to increase high school students’ interest in physics and FMIPA in general. During these visits, the lecturers delivered presentations on the program’s profile, career prospects for graduates, and the crucial role of physics in the advancement of science and technology.
In addition to the presentations, the activities featured interactive Q&A sessions and simple demonstrations to engage the students’ interest. The warm welcome from the schools and the enthusiastic response from the students indicated that the promotion was successful and impactful. It is hoped that this initiative will encourage more students from South Bengkulu and South Sumatra to pursue higher education, particularly in the Physics Study Program at FMIPA, Universitas Bengkulu.
