Physics Students Receive Funding for PKM Research and Futuristic Written Ideas (GFT)
Students from the Physics Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), University of Bengkulu (UNIB) have once again demonstrated outstanding achievement by successfully securing funding under the Student Creativity Program (PKM) for the Research (PKM-RE) and Futuristic Written Ideas (PKM-GFT) schemes.
The PKM-RE funding was awarded to a team led by Maura Alyafie Nurel for their research entitled “Study of Seismic Potential in the Southern Part of the Sunda Megathrust Using a Model of Earth Crust Movement Data (Inter-Seismic Deformation).” This study focuses on assessing seismic potential in the southern region of the Sunda Megathrust through the modeling of earth crust movement data, contributing scientifically to efforts in earthquake hazard mitigation.
Meanwhile, the PKM-GFT funding was obtained by a team led by Aqnaela Ratu with the title “Quantum Fusion Grid: Integration of Quantum Computing and Renewable Energy Networks as a Futuristic Solution to Support the Transformation of Future Energy Management.” This futuristic concept proposes the integration of quantum computing and renewable energy networks as an innovative approach to managing future energy systems.
The success of these two teams reflects the academic excellence, creativity, and competitiveness of Physics Study Program students in developing research and innovative ideas that address global challenges. The Physics Study Program extends its appreciation and congratulations to the students and their supervising lecturers for this achievement.
It is hoped that this accomplishment will inspire other students to further cultivate a culture of research and innovation and to actively contribute to the advancement of science and technology through the Student Creativity Program.
