Coordinator of the Bachelor of Statistics Program, FMIPA, Universitas Bengkulu Visits Central Bengkulu Statistics Office Booth and Supports Student Interns

Bengkulu Tengah, July 4, 2026 – The Coordinator of the Bachelor of Statistics Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Bengkulu, Dr. Pepi Novianti, visited the booth of the BPS Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah during the Berbinar (Bersama Membangun Bengkulu Tengah) community event held in front of the BPS Bengkulu Tengah.

Berbinar is a regular event organized by the BPS Bengkulu Tengah to foster interaction among government agencies, institutions, businesses, and the public through various public services, promotional activities, and community entertainment. On this occasion, the Central Bengkulu Statistics Office utilized the event as a platform to promote the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026) by providing educational materials and information on its objectives, benefits, and the importance of business participation in ensuring the success of the national census.

Students from the Bachelor of Statistics Program at Universitas Bengkulu who are currently participating in the Impactful Internship Program at the Central Bengkulu Statistics Office actively contributed as members of the census outreach team. They assisted BPS officers in providing information to visitors, explaining the objectives and significance of the 2026 Economic Census, distributing promotional materials, and responding to public inquiries regarding the census implementation. This involvement provided valuable hands-on experience, enabling students to strengthen their communication skills, public service competencies, and practical application of statistical knowledge in a professional setting.

Dr. Pepi Novianti’s visit was intended to encourage and support the student interns while observing firsthand the implementation of experiential learning carried out through the collaboration between Universitas Bengkulu and the BPS Bengkulu Tengah. During the visit, she also held discussions with BPS personnel regarding the ongoing Economic Census outreach activities and expressed her appreciation for the students’ dedication and meaningful contributions to the success of the program.

As a token of appreciation for the Bachelor of Statistics Program’s support in promoting the 2026 Economic Census, the Head of the Central Bengkulu Statistics Office, Cornelius, S.S., M.M., presented official SE2026 merchandise to Dr. Pepi Novianti. The presentation symbolized the strong partnership and continued collaboration between the Central Bengkulu Statistics Office and the Bachelor of Statistics Program in supporting student competency development while contributing to the implementation of national statistical programs.

Through students’ participation in the Berbinar event, the Bachelor of Statistics Program of FMIPA Universitas Bengkulu expects students not only to gain practical experience within a government institution but also to enhance their professional competencies, communication skills, and understanding of the vital role of official statistics in supporting evidence-based planning and regional development. This ongoing collaboration between the Bachelor of Statistics Program and the BPS Bengkulu Tengah is expected to continue, contributing to the development of graduates who are competent, adaptable, and well-prepared to serve society through data-driven decision-making.

Bengkulu Tengah, 4 Juli 2026 – Koordinator Program Studi S1 Statistika Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (FMIPA) Universitas Bengkulu, Dr. Pepi Novianti, melakukan kunjungan ke Stan Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah yang berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan Berbinar (Bersama Membangun Bengkulu Tengah) di kawasan depan Kantor Bupati Bengkulu Tengah.

Berbinar merupakan kegiatan rutin yang diselenggarakan oleh Pemerintah Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah sebagai wadah interaksi antara pemerintah, instansi, pelaku usaha, dan masyarakat melalui berbagai kegiatan pelayanan, promosi, dan hiburan. Pada kesempatan tersebut, BPS Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah memanfaatkan kegiatan Berbinar sebagai sarana sosialisasi Sensus Ekonomi 2026 (SE2026) kepada masyarakat melalui stan informasi yang menyajikan berbagai media edukasi mengenai tujuan, manfaat, dan pentingnya partisipasi pelaku usaha dalam menyukseskan Sensus Ekonomi 2026.

Dalam kegiatan ini, mahasiswa Program Studi S1 Statistika Universitas Bengkulu yang sedang mengikuti Program Magang Berdampak di BPS Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah turut terlibat aktif sebagai bagian dari tim sosialisasi. Mahasiswa membantu petugas BPS dalam memberikan informasi kepada pengunjung, mengenalkan tujuan dan manfaat Sensus Ekonomi 2026, membagikan media publikasi, serta melayani masyarakat yang ingin memperoleh informasi mengenai pelaksanaan sensus. Keterlibatan tersebut memberikan pengalaman nyata bagi mahasiswa dalam mengembangkan kemampuan komunikasi, pelayanan publik, dan penerapan ilmu statistika di lapangan.

Kunjungan Dr. Pepi Novianti dilakukan sebagai bentuk dukungan kepada mahasiswa magang sekaligus untuk melihat secara langsung implementasi pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman (experiential learning) yang dijalankan bersama BPS Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah. Dalam kesempatan tersebut, beliau juga berdiskusi dengan petugas BPS mengenai pelaksanaan sosialisasi Sensus Ekonomi 2026 serta menyampaikan apresiasi atas dedikasi mahasiswa yang telah berkontribusi dalam mendukung kegiatan tersebut.

Sebagai bentuk apresiasi atas dukungan Program Studi S1 Statistika FMIPA Universitas Bengkulu terhadap pelaksanaan Sensus Ekonomi 2026, Kepala BPS Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah, Bapak Cornelius, S.S, M.M., menyerahkan merchandise Sensus Ekonomi 2026 kepada Koordinator Program Studi S1 Statistika FMIPA Universitas Bengkulu. Penyerahan cenderamata ini menjadi simbol sinergi dan kolaborasi yang telah terjalin antara BPS Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah dan Program Studi S1 Statistika dalam mendukung pengembangan kompetensi mahasiswa serta menyukseskan berbagai program statistik nasional.

Melalui keterlibatan mahasiswa dalam kegiatan Berbinar, Program Studi S1 Statistika FMIPA Universitas Bengkulu berharap mahasiswa tidak hanya memperoleh pengalaman kerja di lingkungan instansi pemerintah, tetapi juga mampu meningkatkan kompetensi profesional, keterampilan komunikasi, serta pemahaman mengenai peran statistik resmi dalam mendukung perencanaan dan pembangunan berbasis data. Kolaborasi antara Program Studi S1 Statistika dan BPS Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah ini diharapkan terus berlanjut sebagai upaya mencetak lulusan yang kompeten, adaptif, dan siap berkontribusi bagi masyarakat.
