Celebration of the New Professor of Chemistry

(Thursday, May 19, 2022) Located in the main meeting room of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, a Thanksgiving for Professor of Chemistry Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Prof. Sal Prima Yudha S, S.SI, M.Sc. the activity was attended by the Dean of FMIPA Dr. Jarulis, S.Si, M.Si, Vice Chancellor I for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Mochamad Lutfi Firdaus, S.Si, M.T. and Vice Chancellor III for Student Affairs Dr. Candra Irawan, S.H., M. Hum. The event began with remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, followed by remarks from WR 1, and remarks from Prof. Dr. Salprima Yudha, S.Si, M.Sc. the event closed with a prayer led by Mr. Azwar, S.Ag, M.Si.

The following is the profile of Prof. Dr. Sal Prima Yudha, S.Si., M.Si :

Born in Labuhan Ratu Dua, Way Jepara District, East Lampung, Lampung Province in 1974. The son of 6 siblings. Elementary to high school education is taken in Way Jepara District, East Lampung. Married in 2001, and blessed with 3 (three) children.

S1 education was taken at the Department of Chemistry, FMIPA, University of Lampung, and during his undergraduate education, he received a PERTAMINA scholarship. After graduating S1, in 1998 he received a DUE (Development for Undergraduate Education) Project scholarship from the DiktiKemendikbud to continue his Masters education in the Master-Chemistry-University Study Program

Indonesia (UI) and then placed as a lecturer at Bengkulu University from March 2000. In 2003 he continued his doctoral studies at Tohoku University-Japan with a Monbukagakusho scholarship from the Japanese government, graduating in September 2006. In the same year

At the same time, he received a Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Sciences (JSPS), a prestigious Japanese Government official institution to do post-doctoral studies for 2 years until 2008 at Okayama University. Upon his return to Indonesia, he was active in the Tridharma of PT. In 2010, he again received

fellowship from the same institution to conduct research collaboration at the Institute for Molecular Sciences (IMS) Okazaki, for 3 months. In 2011, he received funding from the German government through DAAD-Research Stays for University Academics and Scientists to conduct research for 2 months at Regensburg University. In 2013 he received a fellowship from JASSO (Japan Student Services Organization) to collaborate on research at Tohoku University-Japan for 2 months. In 2019, he received funding from

Kemenristekdikti in the Word Class Professor (WCP) activity which also provided the opportunity to do a short stay for 2 weeks at Dongguk University, South Korea.

Since being accepted as a lecturer at Bengkulu University, he has continued to research diligently, it is proven that almost every year he gets research grants, both as chairman and as a research member with funding sources from DIKTI, Bengkulu University and the Indonesia Toray Science Foundation.

Since 2004 until now he has been actively publishing his research results in reputable International Journals at the American Chemical Society Publisher, Elsevier, Springer, Willey & Sons and the National Journal. To date, 42 of his articles have been indexed by Scopus, with his H-index Scopus: 14.

He is also active in institutional development at Unib, judging by his track record, he participated in developing the Science Lab D3 PS at the beginning of the PS (as Secretary and Head of Study Program); Participated in developing the PS-Physician Education (PSPD) at FKIK in its early days, and led the preparation of the Institutional Grant proposal, namely the HPEQ/PHK-PKPD HIBAH which was funded by the Ministry of National Education for PSPD development. He was also involved in the establishment of the PS-S2 Chemistry, FMIPA UNIB. He was also trusted by UNIB to lead the Preparation of the Proposal for the Establishment of S1 Pharmacy (2017) and continued to lead the PS S1 Pharmacy until the first Accreditation of this PS in January 2022. He also served as Secretary of the Research Institute (LEMLIT) for 2 years and continued as Secretary of LPPM for 4 years.
